I just listened to this episode and the Jennifer Edgar interview. I love Eucalan, but never thought to use it for anything but handknits (which for me means mainly shawls and socks). I used to be able to get it at my LYS but now that I’m in a new city I can’t get it locally, which makes me sad. I’d love to try the new Wrapture scent! Jasmine is one of my favorites.

  3. Melissa says:

Eucalan was the first wool wash I ever used and has long been my favorite. I love the eucalyptus scent but I also really appreciate the unscented because anything I wear near my face really needs to be unscented! I have used Eucalan to wash woolies and delicates but I haven’t tried it on the cat. Yet.

Love this version of Jane Eyre! Also love Eucalan and use it for all of my hand knits. After listening to the podcast today, I think it will become my new fabric freshener as well as my go to for linens, bedding, and all pet items! Love the lavender and original scent and can’t wait to try the new jasmine scent. Thanks for all the great information!

I’ve not had the opportunity to use Eucalan, yet. But, I do intended to buy some and begin using it for all of my delicate washing needs, including my dog. 😉

  6. cath says:

Eucalan is my old standby–I’ve got a big bottle of lavender in the laudry room.

  7. So far I’ve used unscented Eucalan to knit my hand knit socks and cashmere sweaters, but now I have to try it for lingere! Another great podcast.

  8. Miss Eliza says:

I LOOOOOOVE EUCALAN. SO MUCH. I use it on my shawls/hats/etc. I haven’t really used it in an “odd” way, but I will definitely try it on the dog!

  9. Knittingdancer says:

I would love to try Eucalan’s new scent Wrapture to block the shawls I knit.

Enjoyed the interview with Kristin. My kids & I use it to bathe their guinea pigs & it works great.

I love Eucalan but hadn’t thought to use it for anything other than hand knits until I heard this!

I am really enjoying Jane Eyre – one of my favorite books! And Eucalan – such a great product – for anything knitting or not!

    Hi!

I have only recently discovered Craft Lit and I absolutely love it! Jane Eye was one of my favourite books and it’s true Elizabeth had done amazing work! Thank you so much for such a lovely podcast!
Truth be told I have only been knitting for a year and I have yet to use Eucalan! I have hopped on a shawl kick recently though and am looking for alternative, rinse-free ways to wash my knitwear! I life in Greece where I cannot find Eucalan but have been looking on some uk sites that might be a good alternative 🙂

  14. Mary Evers says:

LOVE Eucalan! Excited to smell the new fragrance!

I’m so happy I heard this interview! I just sent a box of baby knits to my sister for her new baby, and I threw in a 100ml bottle of unscented Eucalan too. I feel super good about that now!
