Ehren, I think you’ll agree, rocks the Gulliver text.

Book talk begins at 38:30, 250 audio
Hi Heather, I know I’m a few episodes behind (but given that I started listening with episode 1 last fall I’d say I’m doing pretty well), so if you’ve mentioned this please forgive me, but one of my favorite books growing up might be of interest to you and your listeners. T.H. White wrote a book called Mistress Masham’s Repose, and the premise of the story is that Gulliver brought some Lilliputians back to England after his travels and that they are living on a small island in an old estate. The heroine, an adorable orphan girl named Maria, stumbles upon them and they embark on all sorts of adventures. It’s really a fun book, especially if you’re a fan of White’s writing like I am.
WOW!
I am a fan too and had NO IDEA about this!
Off to the library website to dig this up!
Thank you so much!!!
As always, I learn SO MUCH just listening to the explanation “tidbits”. I have recently begun listening to Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History and it has filled in the gaps of my High School History courses. Not that my poor teachers did not try! The sea of hormones made it hard to learn…. This episode in particular helped me understand some of our current European prejudices. http://www.dancarlin.com/disp.php/hharchive/Show-41—Thor*s-Angels/Dark%20ages-medieval-antiquit
