Growing up around Italian Canadians I was given almond confetti as a treat at weddings. On a recent trip I bought a little box of confetti the size of my pinky finger nail with a tiny anis seed in the centre. It was lovely.
I’m enjoying this book tremendously. I listened to it a few years ago, so have a good idea where it’s going, but that doesn’t detract from my present enjoyment. I am in France now. On our first night here we stopped in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, which is where Dumas lived when he wrote this book. It turns out the hotel we stayed in is the same one he was living in while he wrote this! I wrote a blog post with some pictures of this hotel and our visit to the chateau de Monte Cristo.

How fanTAStic! Wow! What a treat. Did you find yourself inspired to write for days and days? (You must have somewhat, witness the blog post!) ?
Hi Heather,
Somehow while listening to “Count” I missed the fact that Albert is Mercedes’ son! Can you tell me which chapter to go back to so I can listen again? Thank you – and I am really enjoying listening to the “Count.”
OOh, I think that would be the chapter where Caderousse divulges all. Then I think I gave a reminder early on in the Franz chapters, 32 maybe… and Caderousse…let’s see… chapter 27? I think…?
Thank you!
