    Hi Heather,

I just started a log cabin baby blanket and ran into the same picking-up-stitches issue. I solved it by picking up 2 strands instead of just one and it looks perfect. So far, I’ve only done one edge, though, and it’s the vertical edge, not the cast-off edge. We’ll see how that one goes.

Hi, Blossom. Thanks for the great ‘cast.

This is the only dang way I learned how to pick up stitches and foil the “gapping hole” eyesore–http://www.socknitters.com/lessons/gusset.html

I wish I could donate my slightly fascist baby-sitting talents. Go get some sleep, Sweetness.
