Hello All!
Special message to craftlit.com/premium subscribers and Former App Users appears at the end of this post.
You may recall that several months ago, I read an email from Libsyn about the (enormous) number of mid-roll ads they recommended I insert into every CraftLit episode. That was the bell-pull of Libsyn’s death knell—at least as far as CraftLit is concerned. The first loud and echoing donnnnngggggg was when they killed the app. I’m not planning to wait around for more tolling bells. Thus, more changes are coming, but they’ll all be behind the scenes—this change is the only one requiring any action from you.
Happily, there is a new-to-us service that manages to do everything I wanted—Supercast!
Why might you want to sign up for Supercast access?
- You can complete the entire sign-up process on a tablet, phone, or desktop browser;
- The process takes two clicks (plus the payment screen);
- The 2012 Tier prices are locked in through the end of December—after that, fees are going up a bit;
- You can give gift subscriptions on Supercast (great Christmas/Hanukkah presents!);
- And possibly the happiest difference for you: You don’t need a CraftLit app to listen to Premium audio any longer! Supercast’s service plays nice with tons of podcatchers—including Spotify—and carries the Premium feed. Plus, Supercast gives you a personal RSS feed that unlocks Ad-free CraftLit episodes and all Premium audio. This means if you prefer a podcatcher that they don’t have a relationship with, you can paste your RSS code into your ‘catcher and start listening right away.
Their platform also allows us to organize Book-specific playlists, so it’s MUCH easier to find the book audio you’re looking for.
More updates are coming to their service soon (their own app, better ways to organize the books, yada yada yada), but I think what they’re offering right now is pretty awesome.
Particularly because it costs you nothing extra.
2012 Prices are locked in through the end of December 2025—sign up now.
January 1st subscriptions go up a bit.

And here are some more helper videos for you, in case you’d like to see the processes before diving in—I filmed these all on my phone:
- The Sign-up Process
- Easily put the CraftLit Supercast feed into the Podcatcher of your choice
- The Sign-in process to access content on the Supercast platform
Let me know if you need/want more helper videos or have any questions!
And feel free to leave those questions in the comments here. If you’re wondering about something, it’s a good bet that others are, too.
Former Premium App users:
If you decide to move to Supercast, please use this link to sign up.
Currently,we have no plans to end craftlit.com/premium access. If you’re here and you like it, you’re safe.
If you WANT to move, you can lock in your current price forever by using this link. After December 2025, the fees go up a bit.
- To avoid being double-charged for this month:
- check your membership sigh-up date and cancel here/start there on the same date this month. (Sorry, I know that’s an annoying option.)
- Sign up on Supercast now to keep the fees at their 2012 levels, then check your bank/paypal statement and let me know when you paid for this month and when you signed up for Supercast. I’ll refund you the prorated difference.
We have some subscribers paying by check. That’s one of the reasons we’re not ending craftlit.com/premium access.
If we come to a point where no one is paying by check, we will most likely move all Premium audio onto Supercast — but that step is a ways off.
